Who am I?
Michael F. Sapera, CPA is a 1981
graduate of the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Accounting. I am a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Louisiana Society of
CPAs (LCPA), the Institute of Management Accountants and the Institute of Internal
Auditors.
Michael F. Sapera, CPA, CITP is one of the first CPAs in the nation to earn the Certified Information Technology Professional designation from the AICPA. The CITP designation, established in 2000 by the AICPA, is awarded to CPAs with significant experience in information technology strategic planning, implementation, management, and business strategies for information systems. The CPA/CITP serves as the bridge between management and the technology department, leveraging the CPA’s strategic and business skills.
I have many years of experience in the private sector in industries from banking to computer systems and retail chain management. Why not let me bring my varied experience to work for you and/or your company?
I firmly believe that everyone should give back to their community in whatever capacity they are able to. To that end, I have served for more than 10 years as Treasurer of the Heritage Heights Homeowners Association and am President of the University of New Orleans Privateer Athletic Foundation.
Personally, I have been married to my wife, Rebecca, for twenty-four years and we have two daughters, Amanda and Jessica. As with any family, most of my "free" time is consumed with family activities like school, soccer and basketball games. But I still find time to support my favorite local athletic teams. And every now and then I can indulge my real passions in life; traveling and playing golf - poorly!
